Getting there

Our wedding will take place 55 miles north of San Francisco, an easy and scenic one-hour drive.

For our guests arriving from out of state, Santa Rosa has a small airport (STS) only 10 minutes from our venue which you may want to consider.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is a two-hour drive but will offer the most affordable and nonstop flight options. You can easily catch a taxi, Uber, Lyft or rent a car from SFO. Alternatively, you may take the Sonoma County Airport Express bus with direct service to Santa Rosa.

Transportation

Santa Rosa has several car rental agencies and limited public transportation. Uber and Lyft are also widely available. We will be organizing some optional activities on Friday which will include transportation.

While our wedding is on Saturday afternoon, there is a large city-wide event taking place during the day which is likely to create a lot of traffic downtown you may wish to avoid.

We highly recommend using Uber or Lyft. However, Vintners Inn also has plenty of parking available on site.

Weather

Santa Rosa

May is a beautiful time to visit with average daytime high temperatures around 75°. The temperature will drop significantly at night with average lows around 50°. While dinner and dancing will occur indoors please note the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside therefore we recommend dressing in layers.

San Francisco

Due to its peninsular, coastal location and rolling hills, San Francisco is famous for its distinct microclimates. It is not uncommon to experience 80° and sunshine in one neighborhood while it’s 50° and raining just a mile or two away. Temperatures rarely go higher/lower unless you journey inland, and of course there is the famous fog! If you are planning to visit SF remember to pack a variety of clothing including a light jacket.
